Hier ein paar Bilder von der DeMO³ vom Sonntag! Eigentlich war es richtig proppevoll, aber wenn so richtig was los ist, habe ich natürlich keine Zeit zu fotografieren...

5 Jahre käselotti!

Beinahe hätte ich den Termin verpasst, doch es war tatsächlich heute vor 5 Jahren, als ich meinen käselotti-Shop auf DaWanda eröffnet habe. Nicht nur die Produkte sahen damals noch so ganz anders aus, aber es erfüllt mich schon ein bisschen mit Stolz zu sehen, wie sich die kleine käselotti mit der Zeit weiterentwickelt hat und ich freue mich schon sehr auf die vielen Dinge, die da noch kommen werden!

Mein Herzblut ist auf jeden Fall weiterhin mit dabei! 

Danke an euch alle fürs Lesen und die vielen ermutigenden Kommetare! Ich finde es immer wieder erstaunlich, dass es so viele Leute interessiert, was ich hier so schreibe!

I nearly missed the date, but it was exactly 5 years ago that I opened my käselotti-shop on the handmade marketplace DaWanda. The products looked totally different then, but I have to say I'm a little proud of how little käselotti developed until now and I'm looking forward to all the things that are still about to happen! I will continue this small business with all my heart and my lifeblood!

Thank you all for reading and for all those encouraging comments! I'm always stunned how many people actually take interest in what I'm writing about!

Immer schön up-to-date bleiben..

Die Einnahmen bei käselotti reichen ja leider noch nicht für ein neues iPhone, aber die Taschen dazu kann ich ja trotzdem schonmal nähen... Und zum kontrollieren der Größe reicht dann auch ein Modell aus Styropor. Das ist sogar noch leichter als das richtige iPhone!

Unfortunately, the käselotti income is still too low for the new iPhone, but nevertheless I can sew the fitting cases for it. And for checking the correct size, a dummy made of polystyrene will absolutely do. It's even lighter than the actual iPhone!

Stoffmarkt-Ausbeute

Am Samstag war wieder Stoffmarkt! Ich hatte ja gehofft, dass der strömende Regen viele Nähbegeisterte abhält, und es nicht so voll wird, aber weit gefehlt...Zwar hatte ich dieses Mal nicht so viel Zeit und konnte darum leider nicht so viel in schönen Stoffen schwelgen, aber der nächste Stoffmarkt kommt bestimmt! Jetzt habe ich erstmal eine Woche Urlaub, das heißt es wird hier viel passieren! 

Last Saturday, the fabric market took place again. Not even the pouring rain stopped people from coming, it was totally crowded... I hadn't much time on Saturday, I could only fetch some basic materials. But the next fabric market will come for sure. Next week is my holiday from work, so I will sew a lot!

Hu-Huu!

Eine kleine Eulen-Schar hat sich auf meinem Arbeitstisch niedergelassen... Ich habe fleissig Kreise aus dem Stoff ausgeschnitten und Thore hat die Buttons mit wachsender Begeisterung gepresst. 

A little flock of owls has settled on my desk... I cut the circles from the fabric and Thore pressed the badges.

Keep calm and sew on...

Als ich heute nach Hause kam, lag da ein Päckchen aus Berlin! Juhuu, meine bestellten Stöffchen sind angekommen! Zumindest teilweise, denn leider gab es wohl Probleme mit der Lieferung der Rohware.

So wird es wohl nichts mit neuen Tier-Geldbörsen bis zur DeMO am 30. September, aber da kann man wohl nichts machen... Trotzdem freu ich mich wie ein Honigkuchenpferd!!

When I came home today, I found a little parcel on the chest of drawers. My fabrics from Berlin have arrived! At least partially, as there appeared to be some problems with the delivery of the raw material. So there won't be any new animal purses on the DeMO on September, 30th. Nothing doing!

Anyway I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat!! 

Ein großer Wurf!

10 Dackelmäppchen sind heute fertig geworden! Ich weiß noch gar nicht, ob ich sie überhaupt verkaufen kann - das ist ja doch was anderes als Taschen ohne Gesicht... :o)

I finished 10 dachshound pencil cases today! I still don't know, whether I can sell them at all - this is kind of different to sewing bags without faces... :o)

Noch blind und nix im Kopf, aber schon wild auf dem Arbeitstisch rumtoben...

Letztes Wochenende habe ich meine Tante besucht, bei der ich als Kind immer total gerne war, weil sie alles mögliche mit mir gebastelt hat. Da sie jetzt meinte, ihr Stofflager ausmisten zu wollen, habe ich die Gelegenheit erkannt und einige Schätzchen abgestaubt. Die rote Tüte links enthält übrigens ausschließlich Knöpfe...

Last weekend I visited my aunt who wanted to tidy up her stock of sewing materials... I drove home with several bags filled with fabrics, borders and buttons...

Heute kamen dann endlich die heißersehnten neuen Flyer an, die ich letzte Woche bestellt hatte. 

Today my new flyers arrived. I ordered them last week.

Diese kleinen Kärtchen werde ich noch einmal in der Mitte durchschneiden und schon habe ich prima Anhänger für meine Täschchen!

I will cut these little cards in the middle and I will have some nice little hangtags for my little bags.

Brick and Mortar

Heute war ich bei Anke in ihrem Laden "Laura & Louis" in Hamburg Eppendorf zu Besuch. Dort durfte ich mich in einer Ecke ausbreiten und jetzt kann man käselotti-Sachen auch in einem richtigen Laden kaufen! Juhuu! :o)

Today I visited Anke in her shop "Laura & Louis" in Hamburg. I was allowed to display some of my things on a little table. Now käselotti products can be purchased in a real shop! Yay!

Walk off the Earth

Gerade zurück vom "Walk off the Earth"-Konzert. Es war großartig!!
Just come back from the Walk off the Earth concert. It was one of the best!

Ich liebe es...

... wenn ein Plan funktioniert! Schon länger schwirrte mir das Dackel-Mäppchen im Kopf herum, jetzt habe ich es endlich mal ausprobiert. Zuerst eine Skizze, dann einige Papiermodelle, dann war das Nähen dann nachher ein Klacks! Stoff ist doch ein gefälligeres Material als Papier...

I love it, when a plan comes together! I had this dachshound pencil case on my mind for quite some time now - finally I made it. First a few sketches, some paper models... Sewing was easy after that! Fabric is just a more flexible material than paper....

 Ich mag es besonders, wie Dackel Fridtjof (so haben wir ihn getauft) schlapp übers Garnknäul hängt. Das entspricht oft auch meiner Körperhaltung... ;o) 

I like dachshound Fridtjof (thats how we named him) hanging around. This corresponds to my own body posture in most situations... ;o)

Das hätte ich fast vergessen: Fridtjof hat natürlich auch eine Aufgabe: Das Aufbewahren von Stiften.

I nearly forgot that Fridtjof has also a function: Carrying pencils in his belly.

Passt doch gut...

Ich bin wahrscheinlich die einzige, die sich über dieses 1A Nähwetter am Sonntag freut! So kann man in Ruhe ein paar HipBags nähen und muss sich keine Sorgen machen, dass man draußen irgendetwas verpasst...

I guess I'm the only person who likes rainy sundays! When it rains, I can sew some hipbags quite relaxed as I don't have to be afraid to miss anything outside...
