Die Taschenserie, die ich letzten Sonntag auf dem Balkon angefangen habe, ist gestern abend fertiggeworden. Leider konnte ich gestern dort nicht arbeiten, denn es war unerträglich heiß, sobald man nur in die Nähe der Balkontür kam...
The new series of smartphone cases I started on the balcony last Sunday was finished yesterday evening. Unfortunately I couldn't work there again, as it was incredibly hot outside... 

Wenn die Tischkante ins Knie drückt, kann man sich schon mal Wolle ans Bein binden...

Und das sind die fertigen Taschen, es fehlen nur mal wieder die Holzkugeln, aber die kann ich ja vielleicht in den nächsten Abenden auf dem Balkon annähen.

And these are the finished cases, only the wooden balls missing again, but maybe it will be less hot on the balcony the next few evenings.

Der Balkon war heute so verlockend, da habe ich meinen Arbeitsplatz kurzerhand nach draußen verlegt...

Portemonnaie DIY-Set

Kathrin von froschpyjama hatte mir schon vor meinem Urlaub ein Nähset für ein Bügelportemonnaie geschickt, das ich für sie einmal probenähen durfte. Nun habe ich mich endlich mal hingesetzt und das eBook ausprobiert. Dabei herausgekommen ist ein niedliches Portemonnaie mit Knipsverschluss.

Im froschpyjama DaWanda-Shop gibt es das DIY-Nähset in drei verschiedenen Größen komplett mit Bügel und zugeschnittenem Volumenvlies zu kaufen. Die Anleitung ist leicht verständlich und der Taschenbügel hat eine Super-Qualität! Nur zu empfehlen!

Kathrin of froschpyjama sent me a DIY sewing kit for a purse, that I should test for her. Now I finally tried it and made my own small purse. You can purchase the kit in froschpyjama's DaWanda shop.

It contains the pattern, a metal bracket, the instructions and some volume fleece.

Währenddessen...

Während wir am Strand auf der faulen Haut lagen, haben unsere Balkonpflanzen sich richtig ins Zeug gelegt! Na gut, die Möhrchen könnten noch ein bisschen größer werden....

While we were hanging around at the beach, the plants on our balcony were working very hard, okay, maybe except the carrots...

Ganz untätig war ich aber auch nicht... Neben der Fertigstellung der 50 iPhone-Taschen (die Holzkugeln fehlten noch) hab mal zur Abwechslung ein bisschen gehäkelt. Ich hab aber gerade ausgerechnet, dass ich für eine anständige Tagesdecke noch ungefähr 200 Stunden häkeln muss. Naja, ich kann sie ja in ein paar Jahren in die Ehe mit einbringen...

 I wasn't totally unproductive, I must admit. Besides the finishing of the 50 iPhone cases (the wooden balls were still to be fixed) I did some crocheting. I just calculated that it will need another 200 hours to make a decent quilt for the bed. Maybe I can bring it as a dowry in some years...

Ferien!

Wenn es hier in den letzten paar Tagen etwas ruhig war, liegt es daran, dass ich mit der ganzen Familie im wohlverdienten Urlaub war. (Ich kündige sowas im Internet ja nicht vorher an, wegen der bösen Einbrecher... ;o)) Zwar hatten wir nicht immer nur Sonne, trotzdem war es auf der niederländischen Insel Texel wieder mal wunderschön!

Wir haben gebuddelt, gebadet, uns gesonnt, Ball gespielt, und der neue Hut hat den Kopf vor der fiesen UV-Strahlung beschützt! 

It was a little quiet in this place the last days. This was because me and my whole family were on our well earned holidays in the Netherlands. (I don't announce such things on the internet beforehand because of the nasty burglars...) We had lots of sun and also rainy days, but it was nevertheless wonderful again on Texel island. We bathed in the sea and in the sun, we dug holes into the sand, did some ball sports and my head was UV-protected by the new hat!

Oma's Jam war leider schon vergriffen, aber ich konnte noch zwei leckere biologische Gurken ergattern und bei den Möhrchen auf dem Feld musste ich auch noch mal schnell schauen, ob man sie schon ernten kann. Aber Pssst!
Unfortunately, Oma's Jam was out of stock, but I could get hold of two delicious organic cucumbers and I also had to check the ripeness of the carrots on the field nearby. But pssst!

Auf den Hut gekommen

Hallo zusammen!

Ich bin Thore und werde Euch heute über Kathrins neuestes Projekt informieren, warum ist eine lange Geschichte :-)

Da das Wetter sich nun ja doch dazu entschließen möchte uns mit höheren Temperaturen zu erfreuen, muss der notwendige Schutz für das eigene Haupt her. Ein Helm kam nicht in Frage, aber ein Hut. Nicht von der Stange, nein Frau Käselotti näht auch solche Dinge selbst. Die dafür benötigte Nähanleitung (auf Englisch) findet Ihr -->HIER<-- . Es empfiehlt sich ein Wörterbuch parat zu haben, da das eine oder andere Wort recht ungewohnt ist.

Mir hat es viel Spaß gemacht sie auch für dieses Projekt zu entbehren und freue mich schon auf die nächsten Projekte... :-)

Hi there!

I am Thore and am proud to present the new project of Kathrin. She isn't available, in case of guesses it's a story too long to tell here :-)

The weather in Germany is going to be better then the last weeks and we will get to see the sun in some case. For this rare happening this summer Kathrin needs a protection-kit. A helmet didn't work but a hat will. It's not off the shelf, because Käselotti is sewing such things herself. The needed sewing instruction can be found -->HERE<--. You will not need a dictionary, because it's written in english. Hooray!! :-)

I am very proud to let Kathrin do this project and am looking forward to the next incredible things she will sew... :-)

Work in progress

An dieser Taschenserie sitze ich nun schon einige Abende. Es werden 50 iPhone-Taschen. (Natürlich auch geeignet für andere Mobiltelefone...) Puh, das nächste Mal mache ich doch ein paar weniger...

This series of 50 iPhone cases took me several evenings already. Next time I will make only 20 or so at a time...

Campus Open Air

So, die meisten Sachen sind schon gepackt für den FlowMarkt auf dem Campus Open Air in Hamburg.  Kommt alle vorbei, es gibt tolle Musik zu sehen und der Eintritt ist frei!

Donnerstag und Freitag auf dem Campus in Hamburg, ab 16:00 Uhr!

Vorfreude

Heute gab es viele Gründe für Vorfreude... Heute morgen flatterte die Zusage zum hello handmade Markt in mein Postfach (ihr könnt euch jetzt mich durchs Büro hüpfend vorstellen...) und heute Abend gab es schon gelbe und hellrote Aussichten auf das Essen der nächsten Tage...
Today there were many reasons to be happy... In the morning I got the confirmation to be an exhibitor on the third hello handmade market in Hamburg in October and this evening brought the yellow and light red prospects for food in the next days...
