Vor einigen Wochen habe ich auf dem Blog von Missy, den ich sehr gerne lese, einen echt niedlichen Hasen gesehen, den sie genäht hat. Ich fand ihn so super, dass ich mir auch dieses Buch gekauft habe, woraus sie den Schnitt genommen und modifiziert hatte. Das Buch ist aus den 50er Jahren und echt sowas von oldschool teilweise schon fast gruselig, auch was die Form der Plüschtiere angeht... Aber wenn man die Gesichter ein bisschen schlichter macht, ist das schon was ganz anderes! Ich bin jedenfalls angefixt!
A few weeks ago, I found a very cute bunny on Missy's blog, which I love to read. She sew the bunny herself and she took the idea of the pattern from this book and modified it. I liked the bunny so much that I bought the book myself and tried it too. The book is kind of oldschool - sometimes the figures even look kind of creepy, but if you simplify the faces, this is already something totally different! I'm hooked!
Da das arme Tier leider in dem Schnittmuster keinen Po zum drauf sitzen hat, habe ich den Schnitt noch einmal angepasst und einen zweiten Hasen genäht. Zwar noch nicht ganz perfekt, aber schon ein bisschen hasiger. Der Originalschnitt soll nämlich ein Eichhörnchen sein... :o)
The poor bunny didn't have a butt to sit on according to the pattern. I changed it a bit and sewed another bunny. This is already more bunny-like! The original pattern was for a squirrel... :o)
These are ADORABLE. I really love the fabric that you chose, too. They look so sweet. I had a little trouble making my bunny sit - your bunnies sit so well. Did you change the bottom from the squirrel?

Hey Missy! The fabric is from my mother's stocks, it's at least 30 years old, but so nice. I love those herringbone patterns!
LöschenYes, I also found that the first (the blue) one had no butt to sit on... So I changed the pattern with a triangular shape at the bottom. Now it's a little fatter at the bottom, too! :o) I will elaborate the pattern a little more, but if you want to, I can send you the pattern when it's perfect. :o)
