Berlin- YEAH!

I must admit I've never really been to Berlin before (except a long time ago when a big parade took place - i will not go into detail with that...). On friday I had the opportunity to go on a trip to this awesome city with three of my Design-colleagues. We visited several exhibitions and tried to inhale the creative flair of Berlin... Our first station was the museum of communication, where we visited an exhibition about paper. Unfortunately it didn't have the extent we expected, but the museum had a good shop!

After that we went to the Zirkumflex, where there was an exhibition about printed matter from posters to books. I found the decoration under the ceiling the most fascinating, as it was made of several folded cardboard objects. Pretty cool, I would like to have this for our living room!

This picture was taken in the Dudes Factory. We visited this location because it was a part of the Pictoplasma character walk. The Pictoplasma Festival takes place in Berlin every year and it is a congress of the world's most genial contemporary character designers.

Another part of the festival were the totally cute works of artist Anna Hrachovec. She knits spherical beings that are populated by other spherical beings. Just great!!

Diese abgefahrenenen Illustrationen malt Jeremy Dower komplett in Photoshop! Soviel Ausdauer hab nicht mal ich... Wahnsinn!
These freaky illustrations are completely drawn in Photoshop by Jeremy Dower! Not even I am so persevering... Amazing!

Now a few impressions of the streets...

Finally we could attend a small private reading at Rilla's (with cookies!!). She launched a very nice book. It is called "her idea" and it's about her alter-ego Sozi who tries to catch and preserve her ideas. Beautiful!
